About Me
Alex Daspit (he/him) is an actor/singer/director who hails from Madison, Wisconsin, but is currently based in St. Louis, Missouri. Alex will be graduating with his BFA in Musical Theatre from the Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in May 2025.
With humble beginnings as a Waiter in a production of Guys and Dolls his freshman year of high school, Alex has been inseparable from the stage since then. In the following years, he found a love for classical works like Shakespeare in addition to his passion for musical theatre. Some recent favorite credits include Ferdinand/Alonso in The Tempest with St. Louis Shakespeare Festival, Ricky Potts in Ride the Cyclone, and Bellerophon/Matthew in Myths and Hymns, both at Webster University’s Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts.
Dipping his toes into the world of film, he can also be seen in Penance (Dir. Ross Ramirez) and I Felt Younger When We Met (Dir. Christopher Büttner).
With a proclivity towards directing as well, Alex produced, adapted, and directed a production of Macbeth starring other members of his class during their fall 2024 semester. Off the stage, he can be found watching movies, listening to music, cooking, or baking bread!
